Need a Job? OOB House of Pizza is Closing Three Days a Week Due To ‘Lack of Skilled Workers’

A sign at the OOB House of Pizza on Washington Avenue in, of course, Old Orchard Beach, that announcing they won't be open Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays until further notice. A picture of the sign was posted to their Facebook page along with a message from the owners explaining why they have to close for three days a week.

Believe me everyone, this was a difficult decision...but my wife and I CAN NOT work 120 hours plus a week, for the third summer in a row... We will probably drop dead halfway through! But as soon as we find skilled help in the kitchen, we will be back to 7 days a week. Thank you all for your understanding.

One person left a comment asking how hard can it be to learn how to make a pizza? Not so simple. The owners want skilled cooks and are willing to pay well so they can enjoy much needed time off during the week and be confident that the kitchen is in good hands. So far though, no luck.

If you're a skilled cook, this might be an opportunity for you. You might want to give them a call or stop by. Just not Monday through Wednesday for now.
