New Hampshire Fisher Cats Stadium Reveals Exclusive Veteran Parking Spots
There's nothing like catching a minor league ballgame on a warm summer night, filled with the electricity and excitement of the players and fans.
In Manchester, New Hampshire, the Fisher Cats play at the Delta Dental Stadium, and enjoy crowds of people coming out to watch a good old-fashioned baseball game jam-packed with fun for everyone.
Thanks to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Swim With a Mission organization, there are now two special parking spaces at the ballpark.
These spaces are reserved for military veterans and are free on a first come, first served basis.
The Fisher Cats work closely with Swim With a Mission. According to milb.com, "Swim With a Mission is a nonprofit organization that raises money and donates to worthy organizations that provide services and support to veterans. The organization addresses key issues affecting New Hampshire’s veterans and educates the public on issues facing veterans".
Swim With A Mission has events throughout the year like swimming, paintball, and Green Berets with a mission. The group is active with The Fisher Cats, holding a Military Appreciation night at the ballpark on June 2. You can find tickets at ticketreturn.com. It's for a great cause.
This Memorial Day weekend, it's important to remember those who died for our freedom. Have a look at the Honor Wall on the SWAM site to see the faces of those heroes who paid the ultimate price.
