Stroll Through the Woods of Lebanon, Maine, on an Illuminated Night Walk This Fall

As the fall season in Maine arrives, so does all the wonderful activities that feel like the season. From apple picking to corn mazes, the season for flannels and pumpkin spice has arrived.

But when it comes to family-friendly activities in the evening, choices can be few and far between. Things tend to get haunted and scary this time of year. But an illuminated outdoor walk in Lebanon, Maine, skips the scare and puts the focus on imagination.

It's called NYTE Walk, and it covers more than a quarter mile of trails, and features different themes built from LED lights, black lights, flood lights, and more. A carefully-curated soundtrack also keeps the walk fun and engrossing.

As you progress through the trails, you'll come across different landscapes engulfed in different colors. Rich blues, greens, reds, and more will transform a mundane wooded landscape into a fluorescent scene. Spotted along the trail will be different structures, included small elf houses and fairy dwellings.

The NYTE Walk is not Halloween-themed, nor intended to be scary. It was built to be family-friendly, and all ages are welcome to traverse the area. The trail itself is comprised of wood chips and compacted gravel, making it easy to walk on.

NYTE Walk operates Friday through Sunday in September and Thursday through Sunday until October 29. Tickets for the walk must be purchased online ahead of time, as there is no ticket center on property. Pets are not permitted at NYTE Walk.
