Drunken Moose In Maine Proves Everyone Is Ready For Winter To End

If you've ever woken up after a few too many beers or one too many shots of Fireball, then you can certainly relate to this moose who was photographed in Oakland, Maine yesterday. According to Robin Soper, who posted the photo via Facebook, the initial thought when people came upon the moose was that the moose was either sick or injured. But as it turns out, that wasn't the case at all.

The Maine Warden Service showed up and quickly determined that the moose had stumbled upon some fermented apples due to the snow melt, and that the moose was intoxicated. Soper explained in her post that this was the 2nd time in one week the Wardens had found a drunken moose in the area, having discovered one in a ditch with water pouring over his head.

Soper's Facebook post has been shared over 1,000 times already and the number continues to grow. Oh, and unfortunately for the beautiful moose of Maine, there's no Advil or greasy food cure for a moose hangover. One thing is for sure, humans aren't the only one happy to see winter is over!
