Queens Of The Stone Age Returning To Portland For The First Time In 18 Years
Yes, you read that right. Rock god Josh Homme is set to bring his band Queens of the Stone Age back to Portland, Maine on Sunday, October 22nd to play the State Theatre. It will be the first time since January of 1999, when the band played at the Asylum, that Queens of the Stone Age has performed in Portland.
Queens are set to release a new album, titled Villains, later this summer. It will be a small departure from prior Queens albums, with Mark Ronson (Uptown Funk) producing the entire new album. Homme promised it will have an "uptempo feel" but still stay true to the Queens of the Stone Age sound.
The October 22nd show at the State Theatre will be all ages, with tickets going on-sale Friday, June 22nd at 10 a.m. The show will be general admission.
