Raising Cane’s Officially Has Their Eye on Maine
Another spot in New England is getting their first Raising Cane's location this week.
That would be Fall River, Massachusetts, which will celebrate the first Raising Cane's restaurant within city limits at a grand opening this weekend.
Raising Cane's also plans to open another location in New England by the end of this year.
That won't be in Maine but the fast food giant hasn't been shy about their plans for 2026 and beyond. Those plans include Vacationland.
Raising Cane's is One of the Fastest Expanding Restaurant Chains in the World
If you're unfamiliar with Raising Cane's, it's a Louisiana-based fast food restaurant that has become beloved for their chicken fingers and their signature Cane sauce. Raising Cane's also serves up unique sides like crinkle cut fries and Texas toast.
Raising Cane's popularity has skyrocketed in recent years, prompting the company to unleash an aggressive expansion plan. As of this writing, Maine is one of only 8 states in the country that doesn't have at least one Raising Cane's restaurant.
Maine Will Have Their First Raising Cane's Location Very Soon
According to the Hill, Raising Cane's sprawling 2025 expansion is only the beginning. When talking about expansion, Raising Cane's released a statement stating they plan to "operate in every state in the nation sooner rather than later".
West Virginia will get their first Raising Cane's later in 2025. Maine could be up in 2026 as Raising Cane's New England expansion continues?
Where would the first location likely be? The Maine Mall area seems the most likely but the Biddeford/Saco area is also a possibility.
