One of the sure signs of spring arriving in Maine is when many of the seasonal restaurants, ice cream shops and amusement attractions officially open.
Many seasonal restaurants and ice cream shops throughout the state have already done that with those amusements following close behind.
One of the most popular amusement parks in Maine over the past couple of years has been Raptor Falls in Arundel, Maine.
The spot mixes the thrill of animatronic dinosaurs with the leisure of a nice mini golf game.
But Raptor Falls popularity has inspired them to expand a little further and they have unveiled what's coming next to the prehistoric-themed area.
Bumper Boats Are Coming to Raptor Falls in Arundel, Maine, For 2026 Season
Shared on social media, Raptor Falls has announced a new attraction for the 2026 season.
They're calling it the Megalopond where riders will enter into their state-of-the-art bumper boats fitted with water blasters and attempt to fend off the mighty Megalodon as well as the surrounding boats.
Raptor Falls also warns that a snarling raptor will be watching over all the action on the Megalopond.
Raptor Falls says the new attraction should be open by mid-May.

While visitors to Raptor Falls in Arundel, Maine, may have to wait for a couple of weeks to enter the Megalopond, the rest of the park will open for the 2026 season on May 1.
Beyond the Megalopond, Raptor Falls is promising some new dinosaur friends to meet throughout the adventure park as well as a few new features to discover.
