Today marks a sad day in history for me, I remember it quite well too. A weekly tradition at my home growing up was catching new episodes of Fox' first ever prime time sitcom Married With Children Sunday nights. Hearing the news that it was going off the air was quite unsettling for me, I loved it that much.

I would record all the episodes on VHS (which I still have) while cutting out the commercials. I had big plans for the future. I had endless episodes with no commercials, there's no way this could ever be beat......until all of the TV series began coming out on DVD, then all of my efforts seemed kinda silly.

Back in 2009, I found David Faustino on My Space. David played Bud Bundy, on Married With Children for all eleven seasons. I reached out to discuss his new internet show "Star-ving" and of course my favorite TV show. He got back to me and was happy to set up an interview with me, via his agent. We talked about certain episodes, what it was like to be on the set and work with the cast as well as not getting a "final episode".

Check out the interview from January of 2009.

In addition to chatting about his years on Married With Children, we talked about his internet show "Star-ving", which was actually way more funny that it got credit for. It was a short lived comedy that featured new episodes on internet site Crackle. Episodes featured guest appearances from Married With Children alumni as well as Gilbert Gottfried and others. Check out this hilarious and definitely NSFW clip from the internet show "Star-ving".

At eleven seasons, today we remember the longest running TV sitcom in history, until another family named The Simpsons came along.

Here's a classic episode in which Bud and Kelly (played by Christina Applegate) win a prize to have Anthrax come party at their house.
