The ever-busy Rob Zombie is getting closer to wrapping up several long gestating projects. In a new interview with Louder Noise, Zombie gives an update on when we can expect to see his next studio album as well as his horror film 31.

“The record is done,” says Zombie, who adds. “We finished it and it’ll probably come out in March because what I want to do is I want to do a very large visual component to go on the record — shoot 13 videos or shoot a movie to go along with it. Because of 31, I couldn’t get to that, so I’m gonna do that in January and put it out soon after that.”

The rocker states, “I kind of got re-inspired on the last record and this really follows up on it. Much like 31, you have those moments in your career where they can’t all be the best one, but sometimes you have those moments where this one is special and that’s how it feels.”

Speaking of 31, Zombie reveals in the video below that the movie is in post-production and he expects it to be released early next year. The director says he recently screened the film as a complete product for himself for the first time. “At the time, it was the favorite of all the films I’ve made,” says Zombie. The rocker also offers details on his upcoming film about Groucho Marx in the video as well. Plus more details on 31 and Zombie’s new album can be viewed in our own video interview below.

As you can guess, with so much on his plate, touring has been a little scaled back at this point. He’ll return to the road in October, playing a handful of festival dates and making appearances at his Great American Nightmare Halloween horror attraction. See all his dates here.

Fans can also look for a new Rob Zombie-themed pinball machine arriving in January courtesy of Spooky Pinball. The singer contributed his voice to the game and some of the songs included on the game include “Dragula,” “Never Gonna Stop (Red Red Kroovy),” “Living Dead Girl,” “Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown” “Superbeat” and “House of 1,000 Corpses” among others.
