Rob’s 3 Things To Do This Weekend
The First Friday Art Walk is always a good time, and a great way to kick of the weekend. Come out to see the work of local artists, galleries and art venues. Starting today, CYY will be on site for the Art Walks every month. We’ll be set up on Congress across from the State Theatre from 5 to 8pm. Did I mention tomorrow is the 14th anniversary of the event that brings out thousands every month?
So we all like a good laugh, especially when it's free. I highly recommend Local Laughs at The Asylum on Saturday night. It's hosted by our own Brett Groh. This week features the comedy of Jordan Handren-Seavery, Will Green, James Spizuoco, Ahron Willows-Hebert, Joe Timmins and Travis Curran. Did I mention it's free? Doors at 8, show at 8:30. 21+
Also at Asylum this weekend (Sunday), it's Lacuna Coil. They're hard rock band featuring the haunting vocals from Andrea Ferro and Cristina Scabbia. This band from Milan has a gothic sound with some powerful male/female harmonies. Devil You Know, Leaving Eden and Starset will open the show. Here's more info.
