Some of the Best Waffle Fries in New England Are Found in a Famous (but Unexpected) Place
The next time you get a hankering for some of the most unique French fries in all of New England, throw on some sweats, hop in the car, and head to this little hole-in-the-wall place with one of the most famous walls in all of sports.
According to a new list by Rotowire, Fenway Park has some of the best French fries in all of Major League Baseball. This part isn’t news, as Fenway’s gone to great lengths over the years to make taste buds happy and the seventh inning stretch necessary.
What’s interesting is that it isn’t the park’s traditional fries that made the list. Instead, it’s Fenway’s waffle fries. Per the list:
“No discussion of top-tier fries would be complete without mentioning Fenway Park's iconic Waffle Fries. Served with an assortment of delectable dipping sauces, including garlic aioli, chipotle ketchup, and truffle mayo, these crispy delights elevate the fry experience to new heights. Embrace National French Fry Day by savoring each crispy bite while cheering on the Boston Red Sox.”
Fries have become a Fenway Focus, it seems, as avocado fries and apple fries were also added to the menu for the 2023 season. Too bad this isn’t 1918 – the Sox could’ve probably just paid Babe Ruth in French fries.
A New England Maple Bacon Burger, a Cheetos Hot Dog, a Chili Guac Dog, and Hawaiian Brisket Sliders are also on the menu, each of which would go wonderfully with a boot full of beer in the bleachers.
