Because of just how busy it regularly is, the South Portland Target store is often the first in Maine to change when the company is beginning an evolution in a different direction.

And if you've visited the Target in South Portland recently, you've already noticed at least one big change coming to the store.

Ulta Has Officially Left Target in South Portland, Maine

Ulta's departure from the Target location in South Portland had been previously announced as the partnership between the two companies was set to expire before the fall.

The former Ulta space in the South Portland Target store has walls around it and will be reimagined as the new Target Beauty Studio.

The Beauty Studio will feature prestige beauty brands along with a loyalty program and some aesthetic upgrades.

This change will also be featured at the Biddeford Target location as well.

Starbucks in the South Portland, Maine, Target Store Has Closed Indefinitely

Visitors to the South Portland target over the last few days have likely noticed that the Starbucks location inside the store has been closed.

According to a Target employee at the store, the Starbucks location at Target will be closed indefinitely. That could be because of staffing challenges or because of a reimagining of the space.

There will be a new Starbucks location opening at the Maine Mall in the same space a Starbucks location previously operated.
