One of the strangest streets to drive in Portland, Maine, is Forest Avenue.
Unlike most of the city, Forest Avenue feels like the Portland, Maine, version of the strip in Las Vegas. Signs on top of signs, businesses hoping to stand out by going larger or brighter.
The heavily trafficked street is easily to be distracted on. It's also easy to miss when something disappears along that street as well.
Which is what happened to TKK Chicken and Kung Fu Tea.
Kung Fu Tea and TKK Chicken in Portland, Maine, Has Permanently Closed
Located at 948 Forest Avenue. the signage for Kung Fu Tea and TKK Fried Chicken has been removed from the building.

All that remains is a small handwritten sign on the front door that reads "we are closed".
There was no reason given on any social media pages for the the combination restaurant. In fact, TKK Fried Chicken's global website still had the location listed as of last week.
Kung Fu Tea and TKK Fried Chicken opened about two years ago in Portland, Maine, slightly under-the-radar and perhaps never quite found the consistent customer base they needed.
948 Forest Ave Was The Long Time Home For Vivian's Drive-in
For more than six decades, the building at 948 Forest Avenue in Portland, Maine, was home to Vivian's Drive-in.
The burger joint started in 1952 and despite a couple of different ownership changes through its more than 60 years in business, Vivian's continued to thrive.
Vivian's Drive-in permanently closed in 2016. Since then, a couple of different restaurants have come and gone in that space including Kung Fu Tea.
