Two $1 Million Powerball Tickets Sold in New Hampshire
They didn't win the Powerball jackpot, but two separate big winning tickets were sold in New Hampshire during Saturday night's drawing.
The numbers drawn Saturday night were: 5, 29, 54 and 62 with a Power Ball 03 and Power Play 2X.
Both winning New Hampshire tickets matched all five white ball numbers drawn but not the Powerball making them worth $1 million each, according to the Powerball website.
One of those tickets included the Power Play which doubled its value to $2 million.
Maura McCann, director of marketing for the New Hampshire Lottery told Seacoast Current the $1 million winning ticket was sold at Winners Corner on Mast Road in Manchester. The $2 million winning ticket was sold through the NH iLottery online platform.
"For an additional $1 per play, the Power Play feature can multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times. The multiplier number is randomly selected just before each drawing," McCann said.
The million-dollar prize is the next largest prize after winning the jackpot. The odds of matching all five numbers without the Power Ball are 1: 11,688,054, according to the New Hampshire Lottery.
No ticket sold in the multi-state game matched the Power Ball meaning the jackpot grows to an annuity value of $137 million ($98.3 million cash) for the next drawing on Wednesday night.
The Powerball game will expand to a third drawing every week with the addition of a Monday drawing starting August 23.
25% of New Hampshire Lottery sales go towards funding of the state's schools and 63% to prize payouts.
