Sometimes it's nice to get out to eat rather than staying in and cooking. Going out to eat puts you in a different atmosphere, and allows you not to have any dishes to clean up when you finish eating.

The majority of people know that eating out is not always the healthiest option, but there are plenty of things to enjoy that are just plain delicious or definitely worthy of a cheat day.

Who doesn't have a favorite meal to get when they go out?

The website Eat This, Not That has compiled a list of the unhealthiest things that you can order from a restaurant in each state based on "menu descriptions, calorie counts, local publications, and customer reviews."

But let's not take their selections as gospel, OK? Because frankly, some of these sound amazing and need a bit more context than Eat This, Not That's simplistic "unhealthy."

Let's dive into their New England choices.

Maine

The unhealthiest thing to eat in Maine, according to Eat This, Not That, is the blue plate combos at Governor's Restaurant in Old Town.

The website states, "These items feature meals like multiple burgers and multiple hot dogs and can easily push any eater over the brink."

But c'mon. Two cheeseburgers really are not that bad. I know that I, as well as many other people, would go to a cookout and have two cheeseburgers. For the price, the restaurant is giving you a huge deal to satisfy your stomach. And who knows? You might just be sharing that meal with someone and not eating it all by yourself.

Massachusetts

If you want the salted egg yolk french toast at Double Chin in Boston, just know that Eat This, Not That says that it is the unhealthiest meal in Massachusetts.

The website states, "On the outside, this eatery seems innocuous, but one glance at the menu can change everything."

Yes, it changes everything. Like how delicious it all sounds. How does an egg yolk coming out of french toast with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side not sound amazing? It literally is breakfast and dessert in one sweet and salty tasty meal.

New Hampshire

The Feedbag Shovel at KC's Rib Shack in Manchester is one of the most unhealthy meals to order in New Hampshire, according to Eat This, Not That.

They say that: "While the menu boasts the typical unhealthy fare of burgers and massive portions of barbecue, the rib shack takes it to the next level with The Feedbag Shovel, a mix of pork and chicken that gets served to your table with a shovel."

The question is, it is really the unhealthiest? If you actually look at the menu, it states that the Feedbag Shovel feeds 3-5 people. Therefore, you would have to take that into account when looking at the calories and how much food is being given out. If given one rack of ribs, I could at least finish the ribs alone. Plus, who doesn't love BBQ?

Eat This, Not That may need to rethink their answer.

Vermont

One restaurant in Burlington, VT, has the alleged unhealthiest meal: the Chuck Norris at Handy's Lunch in Burlington, according to Eat This, Not That.

They state, "The eatery's signature Chuck Norris comes loaded with five layers of meat and cheese alongside a $16.75 price tag."

To me, this sounds like the ultimate sandwich, and the price is not that bad, especially for a sandwich that will actually fill you. Handy's Lunch also has cheaper food options, like $5.00 for a double cheeseburger.

And it's called the Chuck Norris. There ain't nothing wrong with the Chuck Norris.

Connecticut

According to Eat This, Not That, two-foot-long hot dogs at Doogie's in Newington, CT, are not the healthiest option in the state.

They say that "Hot dog restaurants typically pack in a ton of salt and fat into their signature items, but Connecticut's Doogie's takes it to the next level, serving up two-foot-long hotdogs alongside fried fare like fish and chips and fried crab cakes."

To be fair, the hot dogs do not come with fish and chips. You would have to order that separately. Plus, do you really only eat one hot dog when you go to a baseball game? No, most people would order two.

Another thing to take into consideration is why not have two hot dogs? Doggie's was on 'Man vs. Food' and in CT Magazine for "Best Hot Dogs."

Count us in.

Rhode Island

Everyone loves grilled cheese, but one place in Rhode Island takes it too far... apparently. The Mac-n'-Cheese Grilled Cheese at Umelt in Providence is the unhealthiest meal in the state, according to Eat This, Not That.

I guess pasta just makes the grilled cheese an unhealthy option, but I wonder if it would be better to get the mac and cheese on the side, because this sounds fantastic. Pork and mac and cheese are amazing together. Umelt is just putting it in a sandwich so you can have the perfect mix in every bite.

Plus, who doesn't love a good grilled cheese sandwich?

There's always food that is "bad for you," but that doesn't mean that the food isn't delicious or good to have on a cheat day.

And really, let's have a little indulgence now and again, right? Maybe you should be the real judge when you go out to eat.

Where's your favorite place to go grab something to eat?
