Thai Restaurant to Take Over Convenience Store in Westbrook, Maine
Portland, Maine, still remains the top destination in Maine if you're looking for delicious restaurants with a wide variety of options. Portland is still a top spot for foodies nationwide, and that doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon.
Inevitably, when cities like Portland get as popular as it has, the suburbs of that city begin to feel the effect as successful entrepreneurs expand or newbies look to break into the market. One of those towns to see the clear and visible effect is Westbrook.
In just the last handful of years, Westbrook has seen a noticeable change in the city's offerings of restaurants. New restaurants have popped up along Main Street, and the Rock Row development has brought another dynamic for residents of the growing city.
Residents of a neighborhood inside Westbrook are about to get a brand new choice. And that choice may be familiar to those who have driven along Route 25 into Gorham.
Early in November, Good Things Variety shared on Facebook that they were closing their convenience store permanently, and the new owners were planning on taking the small restaurant in a different direction.
That direction will be Lucky Thai. Currently, Lucky Thai operates in the mini mall near Dunkin' along Route 25 in Gorham. It's unclear as of this writing whether Lucky Thai plans to operate two locations or simply move their operations and entire restaurant to 113 Saco Street location in Westbrook.
For some, the addition of Lucky Thai will fill the void left behind by Jack's Thai, which was replaced by Blaze's Burgers along the Main Street corridor last year.
