Sure, we are in the Dog Days of summer. And yes, July in Portland was not just the hottest July ever, but the hottest MONTH ever.

Despite all of that, believe it or not, there is still some snow on the ground in northern New England.

Our friends at the Mt Washington Observatory found a small sliver of SNOW on Tuckerman's Ravine in New Hampshire.

The Observatory was impressed that the snow made it to August:

"It will probably melt sometime in the next few days but making it to August is impressive!"
