Back to School… Already? [VIDEO]

Is something wrong or does it seem that summer vacation for kids gets shorter and shorter each year? Well, here's some killer movie reminders for those back to school blues. 

Now there's plenty of school related movies that we love; Ferris Bueller, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Heathers, Mean Girls, Breakfast Club, Dazed & Confused and more. BUT... these suggestions focus on those returning to or starting at a new school, like many are doing this week and next week. So think, going back to school movies!!

BACK TO SCHOOL... what a classic! Things that stick out in this movie that make it so great. 1. Rodney, he rules. Case closed. 2. Oingo Boingo playing the party in the dorm room is super cool. 3. Burt Young from the Rocky films playing Rodney's driver and "heavy" 4. A very young Robert Downey Jr. playing the new wave, punk rock knucklehead roommate.

GREASE... I'm not a fan myself. Kinda got worn thin over the years thanks to those songs getting played to death by people and at weddings, but it's one of the most well done musicals for the big screen. There's bikes and cool rock n' roll chicks with attitudes and good times.

KARATE KID... one of the greatest feel good films of all time. Mostly cause Elizabeth Shue is in it, but there's a lot of other good things too!

MY BODYGUARD... a bit dated style wise? Sure. The story thought happens every day though in every school unfortunately. Matt Dillon as the bully? Key. Forget this movie is 30 years old. It's a classic and a great watch if you've never seen it before.

JUST ONE OF THE GUYS... This is about someone who gets a new start at a new school... as the opposite sex. This is a personal 80's favorite of mine (Rob too). Best part of the movie; the perv younger brother Buddy. Good laughs in every scene he does.
