Brady Deflategate Appeal Today [VIDEO]
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will be in New York today for his appeal hearing with Commissioner roger Goodell over the 4-game suspension handed down as part of deflategate. The league has also set aside Thursday to continue the hearing should they not finish today. Brady's team is led by attorney Jeffery Kessler who has had great success defending players against the NFL.
Fans should not expect a ruling form Goodell who is also serving as the arbitrator in the case. The rules in the collective bargaining agreement states that a decision in these types of appeals should be made "as soon as practicable." It can sometimes take a month or more before a ruling is made. The league has already heard a few appeals this off-season and yet to rule on those cases.
If the ruling does not come out to Brady's liking he, unlike the team does have the option of fighting the suspension in court.
