Mainers and Hockey fans know and love Travis Roy. He's a great guy with a story of how life can change in the blink of an eye in result of a horrible accident. Travis' was on the ice doing what he loved.

Yesterday (Monday) he was honored by the Boston Bruins at the Garden. It was a day that him and his loved one will never forget. Travis can now say was a member of the team after receiving a one-day contract. In addition, the Boston Bruins presented him with a $50,000 check for The Travis Roy Foundation which creates awareness and raises money for spinal cord injury survivors. Travis also dropped the ceremonial first puck at center ice!
