Science is never been a super strength of mine so the logistics here are a bit jibberish. The bottom line is the days of our smartphones crapping out of battery life without even making it through the day are looking to be over. I'm not even that guy that's glued to his phone and I'm still hard pressed to make it from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed without having to find a charger.

It appears that engineers from Stanford University in California have created the first functioning lithium anode in a lithium battery. Huh? I know, I'm confused too, and that's not even the beginning of it. Click here for the scientific madness that this entails, or if you're like me, just be patient and look forward to the day you don't have to try and find and outlet to plug your phone in wherever you are. You might even be able to leave your charger at home (depending on ones Candy Crush addiction.)
