Lawmakers will have to decide if Maine wants to join a handful of other states in administering a new roadside test specifically looking for THC.

 

The Bangor Daily News is reporting that some local lawmakers are hoping to reduce the number of impaired drivers on the road by possibly arming police with the ability to administer a new roadside test for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. There's strong opposition to the proposed bill, based on the tests inexact science as well as how it would affect Maine's medical marijuana users. Check out the Bangor Daily News Article here.
