You might be in the same boat as many others, where your job has become remote and you can essentially choose where you want to live. This has become a very popular trend since the pandemic.

A lot of things come into play when making the decision of where to relocate. As a realtor, one of the most important factors that I’ve seen is that parents want their children to be enrolled in a good school system.

A recent study reveals interesting information on the best states to raise a family.

According to WalletHub, the ideal state is one that is affordable as many families are living paycheck to paycheck due to inflation. They also mention safety, job opportunities, quality of education, and healthcare as important factors that parents are focused on when choosing where to raise a child.

They took this data along with other important indicators and compared it with each of the states.

The results showed that Massachusetts is the #1 place to raise a child. WalletHub went into detail a bit more with this stat, stating that a big part of why Massachusetts ranked #1 is not only because of the good job opportunities, but because they have a lot of safer areas for children.

They also mentioned that although housing and childcare are not cheap, there are high-paying job opportunities that can help to even out those costs.

If you're still not sold on Massachusetts, well then just watch this video from the Norwegian comedy duo, Ylvis (not really, but it's quite hilarious). Note: They are the ones that graced us with "What Does the Fox Say?"

If you’re looking to stay in or move to New England, don’t think Massachusetts is your only option. Five out of the six of the New England states ranked in the top 10 in the US.
