My buddy Rob from NJ is a stage diving king. Thinking about the wonderful art got me to fall into the black hole of You Tube recently for more stage dive videos. Take a peek won't you!

There's many forms of activity at live shows a musician or participant can take part in whilst the event is in motion. Some people crowd surf, some back into the audience slowly and carefully lump onto people to be carried around, some plank like deadbeats.

I tell you though those are child's play and a bunch of hooey! To really feel alive you need to let it all out and give yourself up with one great big giant leap for man kind!

The key to stage diving? To me, it's simple; don't think about it, don't plan it, don't brag about it, don't showboat, don't worry about it... JUST DO IT. If you pause to consider ANYTHING, then your window for truth has shut. Don't even bother at that point cause it will be like doing a fake pop star Justin Timberlake/Beyonce stage dive. Those stage dives come with insurance waivers most likely signed months prior. You don't think about it. Just do it. If you're a bigger person, so what, don't worry, let it fly! Wondering whats out there to break your fall, don't waste your time. Let the moment happen and give yourself up to whatever lands beneath you.

Take a look at my friend Rob right here! Look at this wonderful son of a bitch fly!

Look at the arch, so swan like! Look at the joy and happiness vacating his face. All was right in the world when Robbie took that leap. And you know what... no matter what time it was, who was beneath him, what was going on in the world, who won the big game, what the weather was like, what the security thought or if the band had to wait... Rob cared none. The ONLY thing he could dedicated and commit himself to in life at that exact moment was the dive. This may be one of the coolest pictures in the history of photography really.

I know what you're saying, you're saying well how the hell would you know Mark? I tell you this friends I know, for I have made that dive. Not like Rob's, he's in way better shape than me - but I have give myself completely to thin air.

.... and it was one of the coolest, freeing, non-sexually orgasmic moments you'll ever spend in your lifetime should you find yourself with a chance to leap!

This ain't no trustfall people. This is a leap for your life!
