Owners Of Lang’s Express In Portland Set To Open New Quick-Service Asian Restaurant In The Old Port

For more than 30 years, Lang's Express has been a Chinese food destination on St. John Street in Portland. Lang's grew a reputation for providing Chinese food quickly, and also became a late-night destination for those looking to fill up after a night on the town. Lang's continues to be popular so it may come as a surprise that they are expanding...sort of.

According to Portland Food Map, the owners of Lang's will be opening a new quick-service Asian restaurant called 66S in Portland's Old Port. The new restaurant will be housed next to Gelato Fiasco at 425 Fore St. on the same block of restaurants that include Five Guys and the all-new Lobster Shack.

The menu is set to include a variety of options including Ramen noodle bowls, sushi and Teppanyaki Grill. 66S is also expected to have outdoor seating on their patio. There is currently no official opening date for the new restaurant but plans have been approved by the City of Portland.
