According to the Portland Press Herald, the limited-edition lobster and sea salt beer from Oxbow is being brewed in collaboration with a brewery from Italy. It's a saison-style beer and rolls in at 4.5 percent alcohol by volume, leaving it with a lighter feel. Oxbow is calling it "Saison Dellagarosta", which means lobster saison in Italian.

Oxbow's brewmaster Tim Adams says that fans of lobster will immediately pick up on the subtle brininess and sweetness that only lobster leaves behind. Adams also said that no lobsters were wasted in the brewing, they were cooked during the process and enjoyed later as a meal. The Portland Press Herald details the brewing process here.

The beer is available in a limited batch and only at Oxbow's brewery. Get it before it's gone!
