After a banner year for live shows throughout the state of Maine in 2023, the 2024 concert calendar for the Pine Tree State is already shaping up nicely.

The latest addition is a pair of bands that have been to Maine many times. Waterfront Concerts has announced that Staind and Seether will play the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Staind, who recently re-emerged on the rock scene with their first album of new material "Confessions of the Fallen", in the more than a decade, is keeping the momentum going with a massive tour. Staind opened for Godsmack last summer on the Bangor waterfront and will return to Vacationland to headline the show this spring.

Seether, who has been off the road for more than a year, has reportedly been putting the final touches on a new album. Music from that album is likely to drop before the tour hits the ground running, meaning fans of the band are in store for a performance of new and old material. They've been consistent visitors to Maine over the years including making their Rise Above Fest an annual event.

One unique tidbit about this co-headlining tour is the opening act. Saint Asonia, fronted by former Three Days Grace vocalist Adam Gontier will open. Mike Mushok is the guitarist for Saint Asonia. He's also the guitarist for Staind. Mushok will be pulling double-duty on every stop throughout the tour.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, November 17 at 12pm.
