A true, local angel; Ashley Gray has hosted her own show The Awesome Ashley Show on Biddeford Public Access tv for 7 years; helping people and brightening everyone's day who connects with her. Now, she could use our support.

Anytime you see her in person, on her TV show or when you read her posts on Facebook; Ashley Gray is full of life and always smiling. Always. She just might be the happiest person I've ever met. Positive, supportive and her joy is nothing but contagious.

When it comes to enjoying life, Ashley Gray is the president of the club. Born in 1990 with Cerebral Palsy, Ashley has taken her life into her own hands and dictated how she is going to live it, not how she has to live it.

Even in early pictures of her as a baby and young child, she's always smiling big and bright. When you think of how hard things must have been for her growing up and you worry about the challenges and difficulties she faced, the confusion and doubt... then you look at her in pictures and there she is smiling like she had it all under control. I have a feeling Ashley figured a lot out early on and because of that she hasn't lost out on the good times. She finds them and makes them everyday!

With the help of good people and friends; she's been on ski mountains, in the ocean at the beach, in the work out room on a treadmill, dancing - living life. If you ever need to evaluate things and find some perspective, watch this amazing person sometime.

Before she graduated high school Ashley started to host her own TV show "The Awesome Ashley" show on Biddeford Public Access. She still hosts the show today talking to guests who are living with disabilities and learning how they make the best of life. Another week she'll have local musicians on or local journalists and even Mad Science! Her show has helped her community more than they will ever know. Her smiling face is as much about happiness as it is about positive encouragement and support to others. Her show is why you have channels like that and why communities need to support programs like that. People like Ashley are the people that will change our world in my opinion - more than politicians, presidents or world leaders would.

Beyond her show, Ashley has does so much for people. She recently held a comedy concert to raise money for the Barbara Bush Children's hospital. She plans to compete again in the Dempsey Challenge in October and there's the benefit walk every year she puts on for her lifelong friend Nick, who also lived with Cerebral Palsy. Nick passed away a few years ago sadly; so this walk not only keeps Nick close to Ashley's heart but helps to raise funds and awareness for CP.

Ashley recently asked me to be on her show. I couldn't wait. We locked in a date and then a week or so later Ashley told me some lousy news. Due to recent a city budget concern, cuts were being made and she wouldn't be able to be paid to do her show anymore. She was heartbroken needless to day. How do you not support this great person and a show like that? Budgets aside, this is something you fight for and do anything you can to support. Feeling that way I decided to surprise Ashley during my appearance on her show with some great news.

THIS IS THE ENTIRE SHOW. HOPEFULLY YOU CAN WATCH IT. PLEASE AT LEAST WATCH THE LAST FEW MINUTES WHEN I ANNOUNCE SOME GREAT NEWS TO ASHLEY! (25:30 is the start of that portion if you're tight on time)

So, If you're around the area or even if you can stop by this night quick to make a donation, it would mean the world Ashley and those who's lives have been made better thanks to her positive encouragement and happiness. I know mine has changed for the better thanks to Ashley.

IF YOU CAN SHARE THIS FLYER, THAT WOULD ALSO BE A HUGE HELP!
