Gorham Savings Bank and the University of Maine are throwing a free block party on October 10th in Portland from 1-5pm in the parking lot behind 1 Portland Square. The block party will correspond with the Ice Breaker Tournament where UMaine will be playing multiple games at the Cross Insurance Arena against some of the country's premiere colleges. Check out the entire schedule for the tournament with ticket links here.

The block party will include free live music from some local favorites including Hello Newman, Dean Ford, Ben Kilcollins and Kris Rodgers. There's going to be a food truck "court", with offerings from Maine-ly Meatballs, Love Kupcakes, Gusto's and others available. A beer garden will be flowing, presented by Shipyard. There will also be a kids zone, with bouncy houses and other activities for the entire family.

WCYY wants to hook a couple lucky fans with an ultimate Ice Breaker prize pack which will include 2 tickets to the tournament game of their choice, 2 tickets when UMaine returns to the Cross Insurance Arena on 12/19 to battle the University of New Hampshire, an autographed puck from Coach Gendron, and a limited edition Shipyard Brewing Company Ice Breaker Tournament Pint Glass.
