Getting the chance to talk to someone from one of the Top 5 bands in your life - it's pretty cool and happening soon! Click for details here!

A couple months back I got an email regarding a new documentary about the band The Police that was based on guitarist Andy Summers popular autobiography, One Train Later. I tracked down the PR person representing the movie and asked about the chances of talking to Andy about the film. (Simultaneously, Andy's new solo album Metal Dog was coming out so I could kill two birds with one stone and talk about them both!)

After some back n' forth and a few more emails, the table was set! On Thursday Sept 24th during Spinout, I get to talk with a member of one my favorite bands of all time. I'm so psyched! I think WCYY & Spinout listeners are gonna be pretty damn happy too! The Police are kind of a big deal. Still. Heck, CYY and alternative stations wouldn't even exist without a band like The Police.

The documentary is so cool because Andy narrates the entire film which gives it such a real honest telling of his story. He also holds no punches. You'll see the film incorporate Andy's photography, a passion of his that grew fast and heavy during his time with The Police. Some of his amazing photos of his could tell the story themselves!

If you haven't seen it is amazing. Check out this trailer!

*Be sure to listen to WCYY Spinout 9/24 @ 8pm for your chance to win a copy of the documentary on DVD as well as an autographed poster by Andy!

Til then, let's enjoy these shall we?!!
