10 Years Ago: Bush Played in Lewiston, Maine
On February 21, 2015, The Colisée in Lewiston, Maine, hosted a memorable night of alternative rock, headlined by Bush as part of their "Man on the Run" tour. The evening also featured performances by Canadian rockers Theory of a Deadman and the Los Angeles-based band Stars in Stereo.
Their setlist was featured a pretty awesome mix of their classic hits and newer tracks from their 2014 album, "Man on the Run." The band opened with the album's lead single "The Sound of Winter" and if you were there that night, you may remember there was a site of winter as the snow was falling at a steady pace. But like most other big events, that usually doesn't keep Mainers home.
The setlist did not disappoint that night with classics like "Everything Zen," "The Chemicals Between Us," and "Swallowed." Singer Gavin Rossdale even joined the crowd for "Little Things"
The encore? Well, let's just say they saved the best for last. They worked in a cover of Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime", which was both pretty awesome and unexpected and wrapped up with fan favorites like "Machinehead," "Glycerine," and "Comedown," leaving the audience in high spirits.
Bush will be back on the road again this year beginning in April touring with Shinedown and Beartooth. As of this time, there are no Maine dates, but you can catch them at the TD Garden in Boston on July 19th.
