It's finally festival season again! Can you smell it in the air? No, not the porta-potties and half eaten corn dogs - the chance to see a bunch of your favorite acts all in one fell swoop! Here at WCYY, we're seriously stoked for this weekend's main event: Rise Above Fest. Here are three reasons why you should be, too:

1) The Music (Duh)
Have we mentioned all of the great bands playing this weekend enough? Actually, I don't think that's possible. With a full two days of music, the lineup for the festival's 5th year includes heavyweights like Korn, Stone Sour, Seether (obviously, seeing as Seether's Shaun Morgan is the man behind the fest in the first place), Shinedown, Halestorm, Theory of a Deadman, and more!

2) The Cause
As if the bands weren't reason enough to check this out over the weekend, this massive music blowout also hugely benefits SAVE, or Suicide Awareness Voices of Education, which raises awareness about the prevention of suicide, and offers grief support for those who have lost someone in such an awful way. Check out their website here.

3) The Location
The secret's out... Or was it ever a secret? The Bangor Waterfront Pavilion is one of the coolest places in the state to see a show. I mean, if you're a performer, who could argue with a view like this?

Well there you have it! We'll be there over the weekend. Will you? Tune in with Joey in the afternoons, or enter the contest on the bar above for chances to win tickets!
