Pop-Up BBQ Stand Is Portland, Maine's, Best-Kept Foodie Secret

You never really see things as wholesome as this anymore, which is why I appreciate these three so much for doing something like this on the side of the road.

There's no storefront with a sign, there's no Instagram advertisement you can find on this, and there's certainly no set dates, hours, or open sign that you can find on this pop-up bbq tailgate.

It's just a mysterious little homemade stand on the side of the road that pops up to grill all sorts of BBQ food, and sells it to whoever wants it, whenever they feel like it.

You can't plan on getting some grub from these guys. The only way you can try their homemade BBQ is if you happen to catch them while you're walking/driving by, and they happen to set up shop.

It's like the perfect football tailgate setup since it's football season again.

Right off of Steven's Ave in Portland, you'll find the same three friendly faces on the side of the road behind their own meat smoker and side table just grilling produce for you until they run out and go home. It's the coolest thing I've ever seen.

It's simple. They grill, you walk by and buy it, and that's about it. It's their own style of business and I respect it so much. Their food is fantastic, too.

It's kind of similar to the way we always know which dive bar has the best chicken tenders that you'd never expect until you tried them, (Samuel's) also in Portland.

It's two dudes and one chick, all best friends just trying to make a living doing what they love to do. I stopped to talk to them about the whole thing and they were the nicest humans I've ever met. They even gave Maverick (my son with fur) a bone.

Their little thing they shout out to everyone walking by is "We feed everyone, nobody gets left out!"
