It's that time of the year again for water park enthusiasts in Maine.

As summer kicks into full gear, community pools, splash pads and water parks all are beginning to open for the season.

That includes Aquaboggan, the original Vacationland water park in Saco, Maine, that first opened in 1979. The park carefully picks and chooses its opening date each year and is finally ready to begin the 2026 season.
