What's not to love about miniature golf? Its quick, fun, doable even with an adult beverage, family-friendly, inexpensive, and sometimes downright challenging.

The Maine mini golf scene is great. There are a ton of courses that bring a great level of fun, creativity, and challenging play. And then there's this one, which you could say is prehistorically perfect.

Located in the Southern Maine town of Arundel is the "Jurassic Park" of the Pine Tree State. This is Raptor Falls Mini Golf & Ice Cream (everyone knows you need to have ice cream at a mini golf joint).

Raptor Falls first opened in 2019 and is an 18-hole mini golf course with locally made ice cream and animatronic dinosaurs, including a triceratops, tyrannosaurus rex, and raptors. They are all over the course, even playing a big role in some of the holes.

In fact, the whole course is dedicated to the extinct beasts, mixed in with beautiful water features, creatively-theme holes, dino-shaped greens, unique hardscapes, and beautiful landscaping. It's fit for any dinosaur fanatic, mini golf enthusiast, and really anyone who enjoys fun.

According to Raptor Falls' website, the course was the dream of owners, Bree and Cliff Gajtkowski. That dream became a reality, and is now about to open for its fifth summer.

Opening day is Friday, May 3, as long as the weather continues to cooperate. Greens fees and group ticket options can all be found on Raptor Falls website. Happy putting, everyone. And try not to anger any of the dinosaurs with bad play.

I wonder if you are eaten by the T-Rex if you get too many double-bogeys?
