Seriously, what is wrong with people?

A Maine man allegedly went off the rails, and the story is making national headlines.

According to ABC News, he allegedly damaged 75 vehicles at an Auburn car dealership.

This 25-year-old suspect allegedly decided to take a heavy backpack and go full Hulk on a bunch of vehicles at Rowe Auburn, smashing windows and denting hoods, the news station said.

My first thought when I heard the story was a disgruntled customer taking his grievances a little too far, but apparently that was not the case. In fact, it appears that it was likely a random act.

According to WMTW, the person who called in the chaos basically told police they might want to get to the scene ASAP as the destruction was still happening.

They also stated that the suspect, Skyler Henson of Auburn, allegedly caused up to $100,000 in damage, the news station reported. He is being charged with aggravated criminal mischief.

A question I find myself asking often: what is wrong with people? Seriously. What drives someone to commit a random, senseless act like this? It makes you question humanity sometimes. I mean, we all have bad days, right? You stub your toe, spill your coffee, maybe even get into a little road rage when someone cuts you off. But doing something like this takes it to another level.

It’s like these people wake up and say, "You know what I feel like doing today? Destroying something." And for what? Some random thrill or pent-up anger?

Another day of questioning humanity...
