Let's be honest, winter felt like it lasted about 8 months and idea that record-breaking heat may show up on our doorstep on Thursday seems LONG overdue. This is one of those times where you really, really hope that the much-maligned forecasters around the state have crossed their t's and dotted their...lower case j's. Anyway, here are those record-breaking forecasts for Thursday:

According to Intellicast, Portland's average high for May 18th is 63 degrees. The highest temperature on record for that date happened in 1936, when Portland topped out at 92. As you can see above, Keith Carson and the National Weather Service station in Gray disagree marginally on high the temps will get on Thursday, but either way, that looks good!

Let us all take Keith's advice and call in sick. Sorry productivity.
