UPDATED, 3:30 p.m.: The National Weather Service in Gray concluded that a tornado did touch down in Limington on Monday afternoon, according to WMTW.

The Portland television news station reported that the tornado was an EF0, with winds of 80 mph. The tornado was 80 yards wide and traveled for 300 yards.

Earlier story: Monday afternoon between 3:30 and 4 pm a severe thunderstorm and possible tornado ripped through the town of Limington.

The hardest hit area was a neighborhood called Coventry North. Paul's Way took the brunt of the damage with numerous trees down and one even falling on a house. The National Weather Service will be in the area on Tuesday to evaluate the damage to see if it was an actual tornado that touched down.
