The best week in Maine radio is almost here.

Believe it or not, 2025 means Markathon on WCYY has been happening for 17 years.

For so many, Markathon represents different things. It's a chance to hear a different kind of radio where you might hear Frank Sinatra followed by Pantera.

It also represents a critical fundraising event for the Center For Grieving Children, a nonprofit that provides support services to children and families that have suffered loss in their lives.

The essence of Markathon is listeners donating money to the Center For Grieving Children for Mark Curdo to play their song request.
