Family-Friendly Café in New Hampshire is a Genius Concept for Parents & Kids
While I’m not yet a parent I have plenty of friends that are. I hear often how difficult it is to get out of the house and feel like an adult. Especially for stay-at-home mothers where they’re talking to a 2-year-old all day until Dad gets home. It can be incredibly isolating and lonely.
Sure there are playgrounds, and play centers, but sometimes it’s nice to treat YOURself. Not just the kiddo. But that can be difficult with a little one in tow beyond grabbing some Starbucks while buying diapers at Target.
Anything beyond that can be incredibly difficult with young kids. A nice dinner can be so quickly interrupted with cries of boredom or bursts of energy.
This past December a Kickstarter campaign began for The Nest Family Cafe. Their Mission? To help those moms and dads not feel so alone. To help them not completely lose their identity to parenthood.
This cafe is made by parents for parents. They have thought of everything to make an outing to their cafe as easy as possible.
You don’t have to worry about a diaper bag. They’re stocked and ready to go with all the essentials like diapers, wipes, formula, and even onesies for the unexpected blow-out.
Beyond the care essentials, they also have fun for the kids. Toys for the babies and toddlers, a reading nook, a chalkboard wall, and various family-friendly events.
While the kids are occupied you can easily keep an eye on them while having a coffee and a pastry and taking a moment to relax. And don’t worry, they have goodies aimed at kids too!
Their Kickstarter was a success because they’re now open. Personally, I hope this becomes an increasingly popular concept and that other “Nests” will be popping up all over the country. Or at least here in New England. To learn more check out their website here.
