Lizards, Spiders, and Snakes-OH MY!

Mr. Drew is an icon of Central Maine. Well known and loved in the community and beyond for his love and knowledge of the less traditionally cute critters.

What Mr. Drew does is a labor of love. He takes in unwanted/injured/abused exotic areas, does virtual presentations for donations, and has spent decades studying geology, geography, biology, botany, chemistry, entomology, ichthyology, and more. He uses his passions to help entertain and educate those around him

You may have caught Mr. Drew bringing his unique experience to local classrooms, parties, and events, or maybe you were lucky enough to visit Mr. Drew in his Lewiston, Maine Education Center at 550 Lisbon St, Suite 17 pre-COVID.

The education center gave guests the opportunity to learn about and experience various exotic animals as well as visit The Geological Center on the upper level.

COVID

Unfortunately due to COVID-19, Mr. Drew decided to close the doors to the Education Center in March of 2020.

Now, nearly two years later Mr. Drew is reopening the education center to the public on January 3, 2022.

Grand Re-Opening

Admission to the center is $8 per person. There are over 150 exotic reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. And if you're not a big fan of snakes or spiders, no worries. The first-floor community room is snake and spider free.

There is a ton of fun to be had. There is a walk-in tortoise pen so you can feed the tortoises, and kids can don headlamps to dig for fossils, crystals, and minerals in the Geological Center.

If all the fun wasn't enough, guests are treated to some free popcorn.

Parking to visit the Education Center can be tricky as nearby spaces are dedicated spots for local businesses.

Mr. Drew and His Animals Too recommends turning onto Adams Avenue down to the end of the mill and turning right at the rusty robot.

Welcome back Mr. Drew and your animals too! For more details on what Mr. Drew does and the Education Center check out the website here.
