
The Good Table in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Reopens as Pizzeria
Near the end of 2025, a popular restaurant in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, made a surprising announcement.
They were closing for the season and would be back soon after the weather warmed up.
That restaurant was The Good Table, a family-style eatery that originally opened back in 1986 and operated as a consistent and welcoming place for residents and visitors to Cape Elizabeth to visit.
When the seasonal closure announcement was made, many longtime customers said something felt off. It seemed like the Good Table may be closing for good.

After hinting about something new on social media, The Good Table is officially reopen but not in its original form.

According to Portland Food Map, The Good Table is now being branded as a pizzeria and pastry cafe.
Their pizza menu is straightforward, offering cheese, pepperoni and mushroom options.
The Good Table also has a pair of salads as well as breadsticks featured on their limited menu.
The Good Table will also feature select seltzers, craft beers and wine on their menu.
The Good Table Has Had a Bumpy Ride Over The Last Couple of Years
According to MaineBiz, in June of 2023, the original owners of The Good Table restaurant sold the business to the Prentice Hospitality Group.
The restaurant was reopened in 2024 under new ownership with a slightly different vibe than the original Good Table.
Following the 'winter break' announcement by the Good Table, many questioned if the changes to the restaurant made it worse leading to speculation The Good Table was gone for good.
