Another new entertainment and food option is about to open in Biddeford, Maine.
Just a few weeks ago, a retro arcade opened their doors to enthusiastic visitors looking for something new to pass the time in Biddeford.
Now, a bowling alley and bar chain based out of New York City is set to bring another new experience to the burgeoning city of Biddeford.
The Gutter in Biddeford, Maine, Sets Grand Opening Date
It's called the Gutter, a bowling alley and bar experience that currently operates 3 locations out of New York City. The owner has spent much of his life visiting the Biddeford/Saco area and wanted to take his New York City creation and bring it to life in Maine.
The Gutter will be located at 129 Main Street in Biddeford, in the Marble Block building that has been under renovation for some time.
The Gutter plans to hold the grand opening of their 8 lane bowling alley on Wednesday, August 20.
The Gutter in Biddeford, Maine, Will Serve Food and Have Late-Night Hours
While the Gutter's bread-and-butter will be the bowling lanes, it will also serve food, adult beverages and be open with late-night hours.
According to Portland Food Map, the Gutter menu will consist of some light appetizers with a focus on hot dogs as well as pressed sandwiches.
They'll have a selection of craft beer from local Maine breweries to satisfy thirsty patrons.
The Gutter plans to be open daily from noon until 1am.
The Gutter's New York City Locations Are All Vintage Alleys
If you scroll through the Gutter's New York City locations, you'll notice a common theme. That theme is nostalgia.
The Gutter's NYC locations all have the look and feel of old school bowling alleys. The only difference might be they are filled with second-hand smoke.
