For so many people throughout the state of Maine, one of their favorite things to do is get out of the house and catch a live event.

That could be a game, a comedy show or a concert. But over the past decade or so, there's been a common problem echoed by those that love sports and live music.

That problem has been ticket fees.

From Ticketmaster to smaller ticket providers, various fees have taken what would normally be a reasonable ticket price and have turned it into a question of whether going to a live event is even affordable.

With that in a mind, a popular Portland, Maine, live event venue is going to try to help their visitors save a few bucks.

With that in mind, PHOME has announced a change to their ticket policy that could push some cash back in your pocket, especially if you live, work or visit Portland often.

PHOME will now sell tickets to all of their shows fee free during normal operational hours for the venue. You can visit their website and follow their socials for hours of operation.

Portland House of Music and Events Also Makes Change For Online Orders

While it's not convenient or possible for every patron to visit the venue in person during operational hours to buy tickets, PHOME decided to go a step further.

The venue has reduced their online ticketing fees to among the lowest in the industry with the hopes that more people can attend and enjoy a show sometime soon.
