Interactive Map Shows When to See The Best Fall Foliage in Maine

The leaves have just barely started to turn color here in Maine and the leaf peepers will be flocking to our state in droves. Whether you're a leaf peeper yourself or you just want to know when to expect the rush, there's an interative map that will show you how colorful the leaves will be at any point this fall.

Smokey Mountains has put together a map with a slider that will show what stage the foliage is at all throughout the country from mid August to the end of October. Stages progress from no change, minimal, patchy, partial, near peak, peak and finish at past peak. Peak of course is the best time to peep.
