Someone Won Big Money From a Powerball Ticket Sold in Maine
It has been weeks since there was a winner of the Powerball jackpot. Saturday's drawing, once again, failed to produce a winner. However, there was a big winner here in Maine.
According to an article on the WMTW website, a lucky Powerball player in Maine is holding a ticket worth $50,000 after Saturday night's drawing.
According to the Maine Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at the Wells Super Food Market in Wells. The ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers plus the Powerball to claim the $50,000 prize.
The winning numbers drawn Saturday were 6, 17, 27, 48, and 50, with the Powerball number 5.
Another $50,000-winning ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven on the Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, New Hampshire.
As I mentioned above, there was no jackpot winner in Saturday's drawing. But, one $2 million-winning ticket was sold in Virginia, while $1 million-winning tickets were purchased in California, Maryland, and Texas.
The jackpot for tonight's drawing has reached $748 million.
