When you catch your first glimpse of this teeny tiny bridge in Maine, it might seem like it was crafted thousands of years ago for the tiniest Hobbits.

Believe me, it's the most charming sight I've ever laid eyes on. It also officially holds the title of the world's smallest suspension bridge, according to The Travel.

This gem graces the picturesque town of York, overseeing the York River, according to Atlas Obscura.

According to The Travel, it was built in the 1930s and was nick-named The Wiggly Bridge by a group of Girl Scouts who called it that because it tends to sway, although the real origin is not certain.

Make sure to add this spot to your road trip must-visit list because it's a family-friendly essential. And while you're here, take a stroll across this bridge to find out if it lives up to its whimsical nickname.

Is it truly wiggly?

Not many folks know about this wonderous little bridge, unless they live in York, but I think it's time to spread the news.

It even has a Facebook page! You can also take a virtual walk as you watch a YouTube video of the bridge below.

As the site states, this baby suspension bridge takes about a minute and a half to walk across and sits on top of where Barrel Mill Pond meets the York River. The water views are breathtaking.

The bridge will wobble but is safe to cross and the way that it sways draws people in to visit the experience firsthand.
