I’m not quite sure when it happened, but it did and birds are sincerely having a moment. Ten moments.

Suddenly, everyone's got a feeder with a camera, an app, a favorite bird song and a strong opinion about blue jays. And honey, I’m here for it.

So, if you have been wanting to also join the bird era, and also love to take photos, this is your sign to lean in.

Bird Photography For Beginners in Maine

There’s this actually really cool event happening called, Feathers & Feeders: Backyard Bird Photography for Beginners, according to Maine Public. It’s happening at at Fields Pond Audubon Center on May 6th and 13th from 3:30–4:30 p.m. The event costs $15.

According to the site, you’ll be guided by nature photographer L’aura Bradford, who is basically going to show you how to stop taking blurry bird pics and start capturing legit, magical, frame-worthy photographs.

Maine Public goes on to say,

"You’ll learn about lens choice, camera settings, focusing techniques, composition, and how to capture birds both perched and in flight. We’ll also cover how to set up natural-looking perches, attract birds ethically, and develop fieldcraft skills for better photos"

All you have to do is bring your camera and a tiny bit of curiosity. Check it out here!

SO, if you are bird curious, this is a fun, easy way to get into it.  Because apparently… we’re bird people now!
