Pride's Corner Drive-In has been on Route 302 in Westbrook since 1953, showing movies from over seven decades. It's where I saw the films Arthur and Superman III, and I remember it vividly to this day.

Classic Movies at Prides Corner on Labor Day Weekend

Toward the end of the drive-in movie season for 2025, Pride's Corner Drive-In started showing some classic movies that people absolutely love.

Over Labor Day weekend, it was a double feature with Jaws and The Goonies. It was such a success that they rolled the double feature again the following weekend.

Buller? Buller?

September 12th and 13th featured the classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off and the remake of The Naked Gun starring Liam Neeson as the son of Lieutenant Frank Drebben.

John Travolta Double Feature

September 19 and 20, Pride's Corner Drive-In featured two of the films that launched John Travolta's movie career. 1978's Grease and 1977's Saturday Night Fever.

These two movies had everyone singing in the cars.

So What's Next?

As of this writing, that remains to be seen. Usually, their next feature on the marquee is put up on Tuesday, so we'll have to wait to see what goes up, or keep an eye on Pride's Corner Drive-In's Facebook page for updates. But be prepared for an announcement of what's next soon.

Maine has a lot fewer drive-in movie theaters than it used to. Only five remain in business:

  • Saco Drive-In at Aquaboggan
  • Pride's Corner Drive-In (Westbrook)
  • Bridgton Twin Drive-In
  • Skowhegan Drive-In
  • Skylite Drive-In (Madawaska)

Let's make sure we keep them in business by going to see a movie at the drive-in. You'll go home with great memories like I did as a kid in the 80s.
