Here’s When Veterans and Their Families Can Ski for Free at This Maine Mountain
I love this.
Winter sports can be such an expensive hobby, and in turn, can deter people from being as active as they want to be during gloomy season. How many times have you heard your friends say, "Not this weekend, I've got some other things I need to financially take care of", when you ask them to go up north?
Well, if any of those friends are a veteran (thank you for your services), you can go for free! Did you know you could also take your family to the mountain free of charge, too (well, mostly)?
It's called Vets in the Valley, located in Auburn, Maine.
If you're interested, here's where you can read more information about the details, just to make sure what to fully expect that's free of charge, and what you'll still need to budget for.
Side note, Lost Valley has tubing, and if you need to find me this winter, just look on the slopes and find the girl with a hot pink jacket on a tube.
